My goal in life has been to live in a way that glorifies God and to encourage God’s people in their life and mission.
I have been preaching since 1972 and have been in the Pastoral ministry since December 1975.
My faith journey began as a teenager on the 23rd December 1969 on the streets of Sydney.
In preparation for a life in ministry, I completed three years of full time study at Sydney Missionary and Bible College and became an accredited lay preacher in the Methodist Church prior to the formation of the Uniting Church.
It was also round this time that I met my wife Leonie to whom I have been married for 38 years.
Our ministry experience began at Newtown Methodist Mission in the December of 1975. A year later in December of 1976, I was appointed as a Methodist Home Missionary to the Woodenbong Urbenville Joint Parish on the Far North Coast of NSW.
While at Woodenbong, I taught lots of Scripture classes to the local; infant, primary and high school. We spent 6 wonderful years there and our family grew to 5 as we were blessed with three lovely girls.
From there we moved to the Clunes Dunoon Uniting Church Parish where we stayed for 5 years and while at Clunes our family grew yet again with the birth of our son.

At the end of 1988 I resigned from the Uniting Church and sort an appointment within the Fellowship of Congregational Churches (FCC). In 1989 we moved to the West Cessnock Congregational Church (now known as the Cessnock Congregational Church), during our 20 year stay we saw God bless the ministry that gave birth to a beautiful church.
It was while we were at Cessnock that I was encouraged by the elders of the church to get involved in the local community radio station.
This began a love affair with community radio, and I was able to introduce and host a 2 hour Christian radio program on 2CHR FM 96.5. I later went on to manage the community radio station for two years.
At present I am the presenter of ‘Sunday Worship’ on Pulse 94.1 FM.
In Cessnock I also had the opportunity of being involved in the local Christian school for a number of years, serving as chairman of the board, and later, after it was given to St Philip’s Christian Education Foundation, chairman of the School Council. This School has grown significantly and continues to grow.
In 2005 I served the Fellowship of Congregational Churches as President. I have also had the privilege of being involved with the Focus on the Family as an accredited Drug Proof Your Kids facilitator.
I have been a ventriloquist for many years and have enjoyed children’s ministries as well as preaching, leading and preparing Bible studies.
Outside of ministry I love carpentry and to fish when time permits.
I have been married to Leonie since 1975 and have four grown children and five grandchildren of who we are very proud of.
